My name is Tiffany Verbancic (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) whose passion for supporting others stems from first-hand experiences with the complexities this world has to offer.

I understand how painful and chaotic the world can be when trying to survive on your own. Let alone how confusing and scary it can be to not feel connected to yourself. However, all humans have the natural ability to experience a sense of balance, stability, and resiliency that can be achieved through psychotherapy treatment. With this belief I founded Beechwood Psychotherapy to directly support you and help guide you towards the life you deserve to live; a life where you are no longer emotionally suffering.

Together, we will develop a custom treatment plan that directly targets your unique mental health concerns and with curiosity and self-compassion you can regain emotional control and experience relief.

By participating in my own support as well as working in the mental health field for eight years, I have borne witness to the strength and wonders of our brains ability to adapt and respond to effective psychotherapy treatment. Ultimately, when you invest in yourself by engaging with the therapeutic skills we explore in session, your brain is being nourished by the development of healthier neuronal networks that aid in long-term symptom management.

Based off your specific clinical concerns I utilize a variety of evidence-based principles and techniques from my areas of clinical focus in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), among others. These specific treatment options are proven by research to be effective in creating stability and have a more fulfilling life in numerous mental health concerns and life’s hardships. You are not alone as I am dedicated to helping you through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, traumatic events (PTSD), emotion dysregulation, mood disorders, and personality disorders, as well as everyday hardships that effect daily functioning.

To further encourage and initiate effective long-lasting change, I also practice from a client-centered perspective, meaning, symptoms are not your full identity. Rather, I acknowledge and consider all life aspects which includes your family dynamic, relationships, biology, environment, and other worldviews that may be contributing to life’s unpleasant experiences. As your therapist I am dedicated to respecting any cultural traditions and practices towards healing and I invite you to share them, as I am honoured to include them into treatment.
